Most of the days of the year are ordinary ones. No special holiday happening. It’s no one’s birthday. Just a regular, every day kind of day. Sometimes those days can feel mundane or exhausting. Just getting out of bed can feel like a chore. But what if you started each day with a celebratory attitude? What if you made some part of every day special in some small way? Instead of just working or cooking or dealing with homework or house chores you took a small bit of time to enjoy something you love? You could have a slice of pie or take a nice walk. Put some flowers in a vase. Maybe call a dear friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. Eat dinner off of your fancy plates. Close your eyes for a ten minute nap. Do something to make each day special and give yourself something to look forward to. It will make those ordinary tasks breeze by a bit a lighter and you will have a healthier outlook for it!
