Holly & Heather’s Helpful Hint: The Futsu Squash
It looks like a gourd, who would eat it? But it’s not, it’s a Futsu Squash! Another farm share beauty! It was almost too good to eat but eat we did! It has a nutty scent and we thought perfect for roasting with nutmeg and olive oil. So that’s what we did after halving it, scooping out the seeds and finally slicing.
A 350 degree oven for about 20-25 minutes brought it to a just fork-tender state.
We hope you find one at a farm stand near you!
